The Ukraine Association Biobank in Europe coordinates the network procedures, based on all existing international guidelines, and are standardized across the network. The accredited sample collection and certified analytics procedures are guaranteeing the high quality of biomedical research and treatment development under the legally and ethically secured and regulated conditions. This approach underscores the importance of maintaining integrity and trust within the scientific and medical community.

The Young Researchers Group is comprised of members of Ukraine Association of Biobank under the age of 25 – primarily students. The group responds to one of the main objectives of UAB: to contribute with high quality training of the future generations of Ukrainian researchers in the field of Biobank and Biotechnology.

In order to achieve this, the group has decided to meet every 3 months on an online basis, while trying to meet face-to-face at the biannual UAB meetings. In each , a training session or seminar will be held, with invited guest speakers.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Our suppliers are business partners with expertise and capabilities that we use to enable improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and business continuity which allows UAB Austria to deliver medical innovations to benefit our patients. We hold ourselves and our suppliers to the same high standards through the Supplier Code of Conduct.

The UAB Austria Supplier Code of Conduct incorporates the 5 auditable key principles of the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative (PSCI):

Ethics: Suppliers shall conduct their business in an ethical manner and act with integrity.

Human Rights and Labour: Suppliers shall be committed to ensuring the human rights of workers and to treating them with dignity and respect.

Health and Safety: Suppliers shall provide a safe and healthy working environment, including for any company-provided living quarters.

Environment: Suppliers shall operate in an environmentally responsible and resource-efficient manner. Suppliers are expected to conserve natural resources by sourcing material sustainably, to minimise the use of hazardous materials, to engage in activities that reuse and recycle, and are encouraged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Management Systems: Suppliers shall use management systems to facilitate compliance and continual improvement of these principles.

In addition to these 5 auditable sustainability principles, we ask our suppliers to protect intellectual property and customer information, promote economic sustainability in their communities, and support diverse suppliers.
